Prepare a cooking video link for recipe extraction
Turning a saved cooking video into a useful recipe starts with the right link. ClipRecip’s link flow recognizes Instagram, TikTok and YouTube videos. A supported address does not guarantee that the content is accessible or contains enough information for a complete recipe.
These guides describe the ClipRecip experience in preparation. Store releases are being prepared; feature availability may vary by version and plan.
Choose the video, not the profile
Copy the individual cooking video’s link from the platform’s sharing menu. A profile, search result or collection address is different. Open the link once before pasting it so you know it leads to the dish you intended, rather than a similar-looking post.
The content needs to be public. Private accounts, deleted posts, regional restrictions and platform access limits can prevent processing. Choose another accessible video instead of trying to bypass the creator’s privacy settings.
Look for ingredients and a visible method
A short clip showing only the finished dish may not contain a usable recipe. Ingredient names, on-screen quantities, spoken instructions and the order of cooking provide complementary clues. If the creator includes an ingredient list in the description, keep it available for comparison.
Some videos explain a sauce but omit preparation of the main dish. Notice which parts are actually shown. An absent stage should not become a confirmed instruction merely because it would make the recipe look complete.
Compare the result before saving
After adding a link in ClipRecip, start the extraction deliberately and wait for the result. If processing fails, check that the original link still opens and review your account’s usage status before repeatedly submitting it.
Compare ingredients, estimated quantities and the sequence of steps with the source. Pay particular attention to oven temperature, when a sauce is added and any final cooking stage. Save the reviewed recipe, then keep your own observations in a separate personal note for next time.
