Save, export and back up your recipe notebook
Keeping a recipe does not have to mean saving only its video link. ClipRecip’s notebook flow lets you save reviewed recipes and add your own observations. A single-recipe export and a complete notebook backup serve different purposes.
These guides describe the ClipRecip experience in preparation. Store releases are being prepared; feature availability may vary by version and plan.
Save the recipe and your notes explicitly
After saving a recipe, you can mark it as a favourite and search your saved collection by title, ingredient or personal note. Typing a note is not the same as saving it: finish the save action and check the confirmation. An unsaved draft is not part of your backup.
The copy on your device may be your only copy. Make a backup before clearing browser data or changing devices. Copying recipes to an account does not mean edits automatically merge across devices; existing recipe identities are preserved during import.
Choose what to include in a single-recipe export
The export panel creates a readable TXT file with ingredients scaled to the selected servings, cooking steps and approximate-information markers. Personal notes are excluded by default. Enable the separate option only when you want those notes in the shared recipe.
On the web, the browser’s print dialog can print the recipe or save a PDF when supported. Open your downloaded file to check quantities, special characters and the note selection. A recipe marked as needing review must be checked before export.
Use a JSON backup for the whole notebook
A notebook backup carries saved recipes, favourites and saved personal notes together. Store the file somewhere you trust. Opening a download or sharing dialog is not proof that you have kept a lasting copy.
Restoration validates the file before showing recipe names and counts for confirmation. Existing identities are skipped, so edits from another device do not automatically overwrite this notebook. Know which copy is current, and check whether a backup includes personal notes before giving it to someone else.
